30 Days of Gratitude 2025 - Day 28
Renee Arundhati | NOV 28, 2025
This quote feels like the right one for this moment:
“You do your absolute best to find and hone and wield your divine gifts against the dark. You do your best to reach out tenderly to touch and elevate as many people as you can reach. You bring your naked love and defiant courage and salty grace to bear as much as you can, with all the attentiveness and humour you can muster. This life is after all a miracle and we ought to pay fierce attention every moment, as much as possible.” - Brian Doyle
This quote resonates with me, and my approach to life. What wisdom resonates with you?
I am also reminded of the pathway to wisdom taught by my Guru, vichāra - reasoning, contemplation, deliberation - which is given in three steps:
Shravana - listening to the teachings with the intent to learn, receiving wisdom for contemplation
Manana - using the intellect and processing the wisdom we have received
Nididhyasana - holding the wisdom within us until it becomes realised through personal experience
In thinking about wisdom we can also think about Jñāna Marga - the path of knowledge. Some links which may be of interest:
Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 7, Verse 2:
jñānaṁ te ’haṁ sa-vijñānam idaṁ vakṣhyāmyaśheṣhataḥ
yaj jñātvā neha bhūyo ’nyaj jñātavyam-avaśhiṣhyate
I shall now reveal unto you fully this knowledge and wisdom, knowing which nothing else remains to be known in this world.

There is much wisdom available to us but in this time of the internet we must build our discernment and question within ourselves what is true, what resonates with us, what applies to us.
What wisdom resonates with you?
