Tell it to the Trees 2026
Renee Arundhati | FEB 8
Two weeks ago my friend Neala and I co-facilitated 'Tell it to the Trees', an interactive writing session that opened space for our group to connect to, and be inspired by, the trees that live in our hearts and communities. This follows from our generative writing session last September - Speak to the Stars.
I know that I am still processing the experience. I think that this is how things shape us - we prepare, we facilitate, we process. The event may be a few hours but the entire experience encompasses the preparation, the facilitating, and what comes up within during and after the event.

What is shared below is what has been shared on my social media.
What can I share about this experience that hasn't already been shared by Neala and our collaborator Radeyah?
🧘🏾♀️ My role as co-facilitator for these kinds of sessions tends to be about holding the space. At the beginning, somewhere in the middle, and at the end I invited our group to breathe, to centre and connect to the space around and within themselves, to move as needed, and to observe their balance.
🌳 When we hold sessions like these there can be many thoughts and emotions in the space. As writers we draw from memory and experience, we work through chaos - mental, emotional, physical, spiritual - towards clarity. 🌱 For our group to leave in a good space they are guided and grounded through the selected readings, given time to explore and grow through their writings, and held in our hearts when invited to share.
💕 Thank you to everyone who joined us. Thank you for being open to the experience. May your roots be nourished, your trunk be stable, and your branches be ever reaching towards the Light.
Thank you to my fellow collaborators and to Gareth and Sean Farfan for our photos.
peace,
