‘Anugraha’ is a Sanskrit word for that all-encompassing Divine Grace. When I think of the meaning of Anugraha, what stands out most to me are the words ‘grace’ and ‘support’. Anugraha is that grace which is achieved through our own experiences; which supports us as we move through our everyday lives.
Why Anugraha Yoga?
The name Anugraha Yoga was chosen to honour the wishes of my mother. It is through yoga that she found the inner strength to persevere, to live the best life that she could. ‘Anugraha’ was the name she had chosen for a future support group or healing circle, a name that embodied what she wanted most: for persons to be able to connect with that supportive power of Grace.
At the heart of Anugraha Yoga is the thought of providing access and awareness to all, through the practice of yoga and meditation, to that Grace that is flowing in the Universe.
