Our 12th meetup!

I am delighted to share that April’s meetup will be held in collaboration with Bocas Lit Fest as their first pre-festival event.

Please join me for The Quiet Chapter, a reading club where all is welcome.

On the second Tuesday of April 2026, we celebrate our 12th meetup! We follow our usual format of gathering, reading, and sharing, but there is a little more excitement for this gathering. Please book your spot so we can welcome you into the space.

If you are new to The Quiet Chapter follow this link to learn about the inception or find answers to questions you may have about our reading club.

On Tuesday 14th April you are invited to gather at The Shadytree Cottage - either with your choice of reading material or ready to read one of the 10 Peekash Press titles, offered by Bocas Lit Fest, as reading options.

During our first half hour we mingle, gather our foodstuff and choose our reading spot.

The Shadytree Cottage has space for us to read indoors but, once the weather is good, you are invited to bring a mat or blanket and choose a spot outdoors on the lawn.

As we are not at The Arts Café this time, there is a $70 cover fee to attend. Food and tea/coffee will be provided.

From 4:30 to 5:30 pm we read silently. Following our hour of silent reading there is the option to stay on and share with the group about what you've read or you may head out.

This is intended to be a very relaxed evening, a time and space to be together for the common goal of getting some reading done, and to be together in community.
