Upcoming Retreat:

Breathe: an exploration of prāṇāyāma

Saturday 18th April, 2026 | 2:00 - 6:00 pm

Ajoupa Gardens, Chickland

This retreat offers the opportunity to deepen our understanding of pranamaya, the yogic practice of managing the breath and subtle energy of the body.

We build on the work done during our first week of 21-day the BRB Club programme, which introduced us to breath and prāṇa

Breathe: an exploration of prāṇāyāma is a carefully curated pranayama immersion held between indoor sanctuary and garden stillness; an experience where the pace softens, the senses awaken, and we learn how the breath can become both anchor and guide.

See below for an outline of our afternoon, reasons to attend, and our faq section!

What awaits you:

Welcome and Introductions

Our afternoon begins with welcoming, and introductions - to ourselves, the space we are in, and our agenda for the retreat. We begin with intention, taking time to move into our space together.

Awareness, Preparation & Practice

Together we will move through a review of what was learnt in Week 1 of the BRB Club Programme: Breathe, followed by guided breath awareness and the teaching and community practice of pranayama.

Tea Break

Our tea break offers us the opportunity to refresh ourselves, to connect with other participants, and to mull over our first session.

Movement, Integration & Stillness

In our second session we explore the movement and practice of pranayama in nature. You will be invited to observe the shifts that occur in different settings. This session ends with meditation.

BRB-breathe

Closing Conversations

Our retreat concludes with group reflection; the invitation to share our experiences and takeaways from our time together.

"Prana, according to the Vedanta, is the principle of life. It is like ether, an omnipresent principle; and all motion, either in the body or anywhere else, is the work of this Prana. It is greater than Akasha, and through it everything lives. Prana is in the mother, in the father, in the sister, in the teacher, Prana is the knower."

- Swami Vivekananda
